Infrastructure

The Department of MCA was started in the year 1994 with massive computing facilities and outstanding classrooms with an excellent work-study environment open to students and faculties. The teaching – learning is facilitated with sufficient class rooms and library. It provides high quality education to the students.

Department Library:-The Department Library occupies a unique place in academic activities of the department. It is perhaps the most important central facility provided by the Institute. The Library maintains an excellent collection of    799 data books and other documents/materials.

Lab Facility:-The department has state of the art computing facilities to engage the students and faculties to achieve their task with ease of operation.  There are 91 systems that are equipped with updated versions of hardware and software. The system configurations and other lab facilities are available in the department laboratory are given  below.

The list of the laboratories is furnished below

  • Advanced Data Structures Laboratory:-The students acquire the knowledge of using advanced tree structures, learn the usage of heap structures , understand the usage of graph structures and spanning trees, solve the   problems such as matrix chain multiplication, activity selection and Huffman coding and the necessary mathematical abstraction.
  • Python Programming Laboratory:-The students learns to implement (write, test, and debug) simple Python programs. The implementation of Python programs involves conditionals, looping structures, functions and representation of compound data using Python lists, tuples, dictionaries and files and Implement NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib libraries and object oriented concepts .
  • Database Management Systems Laboratory:-The students can understand the basic concepts of the database and data models, design a database using ER diagrams and map ER into Relations and normalize the relations, acquire the knowledge of query evaluation to monitor the performance of the DBMS, develop a simple database applications using normalization and acquire the knowledge about different special purpose databases and to critique how they differ from traditional database systems.
  • C Programming Laboratory:-The students are able to design a computational solution for a given problem, to break a problem into logical modules that can be solved (programmed), transform a problem solution into programs involving programming constructs, write programs using structures, strings, arrays, pointers and files for solving complex computational problems and introduce modularity using functions and pointers which permit ad hoc runtime polymorphism.
  • Advanced Database Technology Lab:-The student will be able to design and implement advanced databases and use the big data frameworks and tools. Formulate complex queries using SQL and create an XML document and perform XQuery and also query processing in Mobile databases using open source tools.
  • Full stack web development Lab:-The students are able to implement and deploy the client side of the web application, develop and deploy server side applications using NodeJS, use Express framework in web development, implement and architect database systems in both NoSQL and SQL environments and develop a full stack single page application using React, NodeJS, and a Database and deploy using containers.
  • Machine Learning  Laboratory:-The students can understand about Data Preprocessing, Dimensionality reduction, apply proper model for the given problem and use feature engineering techniques, make use of Probability Technique to solve the given problem, analyze the working model and features of Decision tree and choose and apply appropriate algorithm to learn and classify the data
  • Internet of Things Lab:-The students can understand the usage of IoT protocols for communication between various IoT devices, design portable IoT using Arduino/Raspberry Pi /equivalent boards, the basic concepts of security and governance as applied to IoT, analyze and illustrate applications of IoT in real time scenarios.
