Alumni Coordination Committee

a) Functions

1. To Promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between the Alumni and the present students of the college and amongst the Alumni themselves.

2. To identify and promote Alumni success and achievements to advance the credibility and deputation of the college.

3. To organize reunions.

4. To organize productive events that promotes the quality of education at the Institution.

5. To review and formulate questionnaires those are required for alumni feedback and submit survey report to the IQAC Coordinator at the end of academic year.

6. To initiate record capturing mechanism of alumni students of the college and networking.

b) Composition with members details

The committee shall consist of members as required to the work. The Principal shall appoint the convener and members of the committee in consultation with the staff.

c) Roles & Responsibilities Support a strong relationship between the Alumni Association and current students.

  • Serve actively on at least one Alumni Council committee.
  • Remain constantly informed about the University and the Alumni Association’s services, priorities and programs.
  • Recognize fellow alumni who are distinguished by their loyalty, professional achievement and community service.

The Elected members of Alumni Council are expected to:

  • Alumni council are expected to adopt all the Alumni to the core values of excellence, lifelong relationships, lifelong learning, inclusiveness and diversity, global citizenship, and advocacy.
  • Participate faithfully and consistently in Alumni Council meetings and functions, events and other college functions.
  • Participate actively in strategic and long range program planning to promote alumni awareness, engagement and commitment to the college.
  • Enthusiastically communicate the purpose and the Alumni Association to the wider alumni population.
  • Assist current students and alumni in career planning, placement and transitions
  • Develop strong working relationships with other Alumni Council members.
  • Promote the University within one’s sphere of influence, whenever the opportunity arises
  • Support the Alumni Association through payment of alumni dues and encourage fellow alumni to do the same.

SMITAA Organizes Alumni meet every academic year. Alumni Meet creates a special bonding between the Alumni and the Institution. During the meet the alumni shared their experience in the outside world which they faced after stepping out of the institution.
