Student Grievance Redressal Committee

It is solved to have Student Grievance Redressal Committee in the college that aims to look into  the  complaints lodged by any student and redress through counseling and mentoring. The undersigned is pleased to constitute the Student Grievance Redressal Committee for the academic year 2024-2025 with the following members.

The Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) roles and responsibility,

  • To accept written grievances from students and related to the system.
  • Redressal of Students’ Grievances to solve their academic and administrative problems.
  • To co-ordinate between Students and Departments to redress the grievances.
  • To guide ways and means to the students to redress their problems.
  • The Grievance Committee shall hear and settle grievances, as far as may be practical, Within 10days after the grievance is lodged.

Receiving complaints

The SGRC receives complaints from students about academic issues. Students can submit grievances in various ways, such as in person, by writing, by email, or online.

Investigating grievances

The SGRC investigates and addresses grievances promptly. They also collaborate with students and faculty to identify systemic issues.

Resolving grievances

The SGRC resolves grievances fairly and transparently. They use principles of natural justice to consider grievances.

Reporting

The SGRC may report to the university’s Vice Chancellor with recommendations.

Providing solutions

The SGRC implements effective solutions to grievances. They may also conduct surveys to identify student problems and provide solutions.

Promoting a positive environment

The SGRC aims to create a positive and supportive academic environment for students. They may also enlighten students about their duties and responsibilities.

Administrative staff may also support the SGRC by: Maintaining records of grievance cases, Scheduling meetings, Coordinating communication with stakeholders, Monitoring compliance with institutional policies, and Communicating with complainants and respondents.
