IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE)
IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the world’s largest professional networks supporting women engineers and scientists. It aims to promote women’s participation in engineering and technology and to inspire young girls to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The mission of IEEE WIE is to inspire, encourage, and empower women worldwide to reach their full potential.
The IEEE SB RIT WIE Affinity Group is committed to empowering female students by enhancing their technical knowledge and leadership skills through a wide range of educational and networking opportunities. Our chapter actively works towards bridging the gender gap in engineering and technology by creating initiatives that address the challenges faced by young women in these fields.
Currently, the group aims to organize technical workshops, skill-building sessions, and leadership programs to help students strengthen both their professional expertise and interpersonal abilities, preparing them to be future-ready. In addition, regular meetups and interactive events are planned to foster collaboration, support, and networking among members.

Artify AI – Event Report The Artify AI event, held on September 15th, 2025, was organized by IEEE WIE Affinity Group. The objective of the event was to encourage creativity and showcase the artistic skills of students by blending art with technology. Participants enthusiastically presented their artworks, demonstrating innovation, imagination, and design thinking. The event provided a platform for students to express their creativity, explore new artistic perspectives, and get recognition for their unique talents. The top three participants were awarded for their outstanding performances, making the competition both engaging and inspiring. Overall, Artify AI highlighted the creative potential of students, fostering a culture of innovation and artistic expression within the campus.
