Our Institutional Development are as follows:

To add futuristic and vision based new courses to upgrade the students in the next three years
To get accreditation of National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for all the departments in the next five years
To improve Research and Development Activities / Culture in all thrust areas of all the department functioning
To secure the Highest Grades in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the next cycle
To setup “Knowledge Park” in the campus and encourage the young entrepreneurs.
To establish Incubation Centres in the forthcoming years and train the students as industry ready people
To update all the classrooms as Smart Class rooms in the next five years
To upgrade our entire premises as WI-FI enabled campus
To upgrade the sports facilities by establishing indoor courts and train the students to excel in the zonal meets
To establish the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in all the thrust areas of every departments in the next three years
To place all our students in the TIER-I companies through Training and Placement activities
To train our students for competitive exams such as GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, GATE etc.,
To get into the NIRF Ranking Band of 150-200
To make collaboration with Foreign Universities and etching the students for Semester Abroad Programmes
To establish the Idea Labs for developing skills of Rural People
To conduct programs for Rural Women - Skill Development

SMIT has been granted Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). SMIT is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ Grade in the year 2024.
