The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a certificate course on “Arduino Programming for Beginners” from 27/01/2026 to 31/01/2026. The program was inaugurated by our Principal Dr. K. Somasundaram, followed by a keynote address by the resource person. The resource person, Mr. M. E. Rajamanikam, President, Rotary Club of Marina Vocational Skill Development Centre, Chennai, has vast experience in the field of embedded systems and IoT technologies.
The main objective of this course was to introduce students to the fundamentals of Arduino programming and to provide hands-on experience in developing basic embedded applications. The course focused on microcontroller basics, Arduino IDE, programming concepts, sensor interfacing, LED and motor control, and real-time project implementation. Emphasis was given to practical learning through demonstrations and hands-on sessions.
Participants were provided with practical examples and guided projects related to Arduino-based applications. The certificate course on Arduino Programming for Beginners was successfully conducted, offering students industry-relevant skills and real-time problem-solving experience. Feedback from the participants was highly positive, and many students expressed interest in pursuing advanced courses in embedded systems and IoT.
The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students clarified their doubts and received guidance on project development and future learning opportunities. Overall, the program was a great success and empowered the participants with essential technical skills that can be applied in their academic and professional careers. An average of 40 students benefited from the course and gained the ability to design and implement basic Arduino-based projects independently.
