The First Year Inaugural Function for the 2025–2029 batch of Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology (Autonomous) was held on 2nd August 2025 at the Meenakshi Ammal Open Auditorium. The ceremony marked the formal commencement of the academic journey for the new batch of students. The event was graced by Mr. Arockiya Vinitto, CEO of B-Art Technologies, who attended as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring address encouraging students to pursue innovation, discipline, and continuous learning in the field of engineering and technology. Mrs. Gomathi Radhakrishnan, Managing Trustee of Sri Muthukumaran Educational Trust, delivered the presidential address and warmly welcomed the gathering while highlighting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. The event also witnessed special addresses by Dr. K.P. Gautam Srinivas, Director (Academics), Dr. K. Somasundaram, Principal, Dr. K. Parvind Srinivas, Managing Director, and Dr. Vanitha, Vice Principal, who shared their valuable insights and motivated the students to uphold the values of integrity, innovation, and teamwork throughout their academic journey. The program included an orientation session for the newly admitted students, familiarizing them with academic guidelines, facilities, and campus culture. The event concluded with the national anthem, followed by a group photograph session, marking a memorable beginning to the students’ journey at Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology.
