Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology (SMIT), established in 1996, is one of the best engineering college in Chennai, located on Kundrathur Main Road, Chikkarayapuram. SMIT has been granted Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC), enhances the institution’s academic flexibility and quality initiatives.  The Institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi & affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.
